Website Release Date: 2026

Client Testimonial:

“Shaela brought a level of confidence and professionalism to PDX MiniMakers that made a real difference from day one. As our contract web designer, she was efficient, reliable, and required little hand-holding, which is exactly what you need when you're running a fast-moving program. What stood out most was her communication: she kept me informed, asked the right questions at the right times, and was clear and direct. I would not hesitate to recommend her for any role that calls for someone who can hit the ground running.”

The Client

PDX Minimakers is a 3D Printing afterschool program for 3rd-8th grade.

As the Web design and marketing lead, Shaela worked with one of the founders to create three new product pages and revamp the company's home page. She also created marketing assets like lead magnets and a landing-page-like newsletter. She also made their website ADA compliant, added a custom cart button, and other custom code to make their Squarespace site fit their Product and Customer needs.

Contributions

Website Design: Redesigned their SquareSpace home page and produced 3 new product pages in line with that design system. Custom coded a cart button, animated slideshows for testimonials, and created 20+ new product connected to their shop.

Marketing Assets: Designed marketing assets (web page videos, hero images) and a landing-page-like newsletter with a custom hero image.

SEO Assessment: Assessed and reported on the website's current SEO score, including recommendations for improvement should the company desire those services and changes in the future.

Mobile-First Design: Brought clear, mobile-first UX/UI principles to the project, making navigation and product viewing easy and clear on mobile screens.

The Results

The website gained more traffic and conversions in their new product launches. I brought the site’s ADA compliance score from 64 (failing), to 100 (fully compliant), helping users more easily navigate their site and protecting the company from accessibility lawsuits.

The client was extremely happy with the new, minimalist designs that made it easy to view all of their offerings and encouraged users to become clients.
